Feature film model for The Devils Rock by Paul Campion

I was approached to created a 3D model of a German artillery gun for visual effect shots in the feature film The Devil's Rock! I was supplied with some historically correct reference of a WW1 era artillery piece the originally stood guard in Guernsey which is a small island in the English Channel occupied by the germans in WW2! In the wonderfully moody horror film two special forces soldiers sneak onto the island and plant demolitions on the huge gun! Lets say they discover more than they bargained for in the German underground tunnels!

I researched camouflage patterns used on the guns in the Channel Islands in WW2, then created textures and bump maps to add to the realism when rendered.
