Star Wars - Speeder Bike Cross-section
In this series I will show the three stages of creating a traditional art work for the best selling Star Wars Increadible Cross Sections series of books, 1st showing final pencil stage, secondly the final ink and finally the painted artwork. It was painted in gouache which took a little over 4 very long days to paint and measures 45 cm across. This was a technical measured drawing on an art board with a smooth hot press finish so I can ink and paint on the surface, the entire art took 14 long days to create. The ink stage is my favourite.

Star Wars: 2 of 3, this is the final ink work before painting the Aratech Repulser Company 74-Z Speeder Bike, I add more detail free-hand onto of the pencil work at this stage. I also hide a horse logo in all my artworks, you can see it on the tool roll.
Star Wars: 3 of 3, this is final paint of the 74-Z Speeder Bike sometimes referred to as the Imperial speeder bike due to its use by scout stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire, was a speeder bike manufactured by Aratech Repulser Company.
